Atari Missile Command is widely regarded as one of the best classic arcade games. An unending barrage of ballistic missiles is launching an assault on the six cities controlled by the player.
You are tasked with defending the cities from assaults launched by the antagonists. Use your free will to aim your three cannons and destroy the weaponry of the adversary. But that's not the end of it. Drones loaded with specialized explosives and missile-evading aircraft drop missiles and mortars from the sky. You will be awarded a bonus city every time you score 100,000 points. When all of the cities have been wiped out, the game is over, and "the end" has been reached.
Your point total will receive a multiplier of x1, x2, or even x3 as you go through the game's levels. You will receive one hundred points for each city that is still standing and five points for each missile that is still operational.
